Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage methods used on our website, what they do, which third parties are involved and how to manage your preferences.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit the site. Your browser's local storage (localStorage) likewise keeps information on your device. Some of these are necessary for the site to work, while others are used only if you give your consent.
Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary cookies. Required for core functions such as session management, security and form submission. The site cannot work without them, so they are not subject to consent. The cookie that carries your session when you sign in to the platform is in this group.
- Preference storage. Your cookie choice and your in-platform display settings are remembered.
- Analytics cookies. Help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate and without identifying you. Written only with your explicit consent.
- Marketing cookies. Our marketing pages run the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which writes a marketing cookie. Its only purpose is to measure how our own ads perform; we do not sell your personal data. Google's advertising and personalisation signals, however, remain switched off even if you mark your cookie choice as "accept". How to block the Meta pixel is explained below.
Records used on the site
| Name | Type | Source | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| musterify_session | Strictly necessary cookie | Müşterify | Carries the platform session | For the session |
| musterify-consent | Strictly necessary, local storage | Müşterify | Remembers your cookie choice | Until you clear it |
| _ga | Analytics cookie | Distinguishes visitors without identifying them | 2 years | |
| Cookie beginning with _ga_ | Analytics cookie | Holds session state | 2 years | |
| _fbp | Marketing cookie | Meta | Distinguishes the browser so we can measure our ad performance | 3 months |
| _fbc | Marketing cookie | Meta | Matches a visit that arrived through an ad link | 3 months |
Your cookie choice is not stored in a cookie but in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This distinction matters when you want to withdraw your choice; see below.
Measurement and third parties
On our marketing pages we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. These services are provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, and data may also be transferred to Google's servers outside the European Union. Such transfers take place under Google's standard contractual clauses and additional safeguards.
For advertising measurement we also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel. The service is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, and data may also be transferred to Meta's servers outside the European Union, with the transfer taking place under standard contractual clauses. The pixel measures page views only; we do not send your name, e-mail address or phone number to Meta.
To be explicit: your choice in the cookie banner governs the Google side; the Meta pixel runs without waiting for the banner, for advertising measurement. If you do not want this, you can use your browser's setting to block third-party cookies or a tracker blocker, and you are welcome to write to info@musterify.com.
We use Google Consent Mode v2, and the default state is treated as refused. No analytics cookie is written before you make a choice.
To be clear: even if your choice is "refuse", the page sends a request to Google when loading the measurement tag, and your IP address reaches Google in that request. In that case no cookie is written, you are not identified and no advertising signal is sent; only an anonymous visit signal is counted. For that reason the number of refusing visitors is reported as modelled rather than exact.
Measurement runs on marketing pages only. When you sign in to the platform (dashboard, settings, reports), neither the Google tags nor the Meta pixel are loaded; the behaviour of signed-in users is not sent to third parties.
Our own anonymous visit counter
On our marketing pages we run an anonymous visit counter on our own server, independent of the third-party tools above. This counter sets no cookies, leaves no record in your browser's local storage and stores nothing on your device.
What we count: the address of the page viewed, the day and time of the visit, the domain of the site that referred you, your device type (mobile, desktop, tablet), your browser and operating system (name only, without version details) and your country.
What we do not record: your IP address, city-level location, browser fingerprint, or any identifier that could be used to recognise you on other visits. Your IP address is used only momentarily to derive the country and is then discarded.
Records are kept not as individual visits but as daily per-page totals. It is therefore technically impossible to single out one visitor after the fact; the anonymity is not a promise but a consequence of how the system is built.
This data is not transferred to any third party; it is stored only in our own database, on the infrastructure described in the Privacy Policy. We use it to understand which content draws interest. Because it sets no cookies and does not identify anyone, it runs independently of your cookie preference.
Duration
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Analytics cookies are kept for up to 2 years, and marketing cookies written by the Meta pixel for up to 3 months. Your cookie choice in local storage stays until you clear it.
How to manage your preferences
- Withdrawing consent. Because your cookie choice is held in local storage, not as a cookie, deleting cookies alone is not enough. Use your browser's "clear site data" or "delete data for this site" option; after this, the cookie banner will appear again when the site is opened and you can make a new choice.
- Deleting or blocking cookies. You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site, in particular platform sign-in, may not work.
- Writing to us. For any request about your preferences, you can write to info@musterify.com.
Changes
If the cookies we use or the third-party providers involved change, we will update this page. If a new cookie subject to consent is added, your consent will be collected separately.
